For a number of years he was resident lighting designer at the Dallas Opera, and designed the notable premiere of The Aspern Papers also seen on PBS. He also designed the recent revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella for the New York City Opera. 

His design for the 25th anniversary national tour of Evita and the recent national tour of Fame, The Musical were widely acclaimed.  Over 30 other national tours include A Chorus Line, Your Arms Too Short to Box With God, A Funny Thing Happened…, On The Twentieth Century, and South Pacific.

In New York he most recently designed The Property Known As Garland starring Adrienne Barbeau, Silent Laughter, Jack! A Night on the Town with John Barrymore and A Knight Out starring Sir Ian McKellan.

His regional work includes the world premiere musical Whatever Happened to Baby Jane for Houston’s Theatre Under the Stars as well as their productions of Cats, A Chorus Line, My Fair Lady, Kiss Me Kate, Anything Goes, Tommy, Funny Girl and Jekyll and Hyde.  Other regional theatre audiences are familiar with his work through his designs for such plays as The Little Prince, Be Aggressive, Woman In Black, Jerusalem (world premiere), American Fiesta (world premiere), The Waverly Gallery, A Christmas Story, Underpants, Dirty Blonde, Nickel and Dimed, and Wit.
